Summary
Muktadir is a highly experienced consultant with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of delivering results to a consistently high standard. As a Director of Apex Consulting Ltd, Muktadir brings with him more than ten years experience of working as a professional economist for various multi-national companies and has industry expertise in all key areas from project investment appraisal to portfolio evaluation. He is an expert user of both excel and other industry recognised planning solutions such as PalantirCASH, PLAN, and FINANCIALS.
Muktadir has a solid background in economics and finance and considerable experience in project economics, investment appraisal, economic evaluation, and modelling of upstream projects and portfolios. He has worked extensively with major oil and gas companies worldwide on a variety of projects, from undertaking independent reviews of economic models and modelling various fiscal regimes to leading the investment appraisal, risk and sensitivity exercises to identify commercial value drivers for clients’ commercial teams.
He has also evaluated clients’ portfolio of assets in line with their strategic objectives to identify optimum portfolio of projects that maximises value whilst minimising risks. In addition, he has led the implementation of a number of Palantir PlanningSpaceTM products such as PalantirCASH, and PalantirFINANCIALS for various clients and has trained clients on these tools. He, therefore, has an in-depth knowledge of these tools and their performances.
Muktadir also worked as a Commodities Economist in global commodities research providing analytical and research reports, price forecasts, and market updates to clients to convey the impact of economic data and policy developments on various commodities including oil and gas. As a subject matter expert, he provided regular commentaries to media agencies like Reuters, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to that, as an economist, he worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from auditing economic evaluation, real option, Capex and Opex analysis to developing economic, financial and asset condition models on behalf of various regulatory organisations. He has also worked extensively in managing operational risk management processes and facilitating risk workshops on major infrastructure projects.
